Plastindia Foundation organized its first Exhibition in 1990. The last Exhibition, the sixth in the series was held in 2006. Plastindia 2006 - 6th International Plastics Exhibition & Conference was a grand success. Spread over a gross area of 65,541 sq.m. with total number of 1288 exhibitors out of which 327 were overseas exhibitors.
Some of the feedback received during the survey conducted by AC-Nielsen ORG-MARG during Plastindia 2006
1.92% of visitors were highly satisfied with new products & technologies demonstrated by exhibitors
2.90% of visitors felt that the purpose of their visit was achieved and they promised to come back for Plastindia 2009.
3. 85% of exhibitors were very happy with visitors responses, trade opportunities and facilities provided.
4. 80,000 business visitors thronged the exhibition.
The six-day mega event offered an ideal meeting place for buyers and sellers, joint ventures etc. and also enhancement business prospects, strategic alliance and technology transfer. Plastindia plans to continue the tradition of each exhibition outclassing its predecessor in terms of number of exhibitors, area covered and business generated.
