Event Summary

PLASTICS and PACKAGING PHILIPPINES is the country’s #1 show for machinery, technology and services. It has gained increasing importance as a business platform for the Plastics, Packaging and Processing industries by providing solutions for buyers in the Philippines.

The Philippine manufacturing sector is projected to expand by 7 – 10% over the next five years, and will continue to focus on high-end products. Technologies and automated activities specially involving the Automotive, Chemicals, Communications, Consumer Products, Electrical, Electronics, Food, Home Appliances, Marine, Medicine, parts, machinery and Equipment.

Last year, PLASTICS and PACKAGING PHILIPPINES under the Manufacturing Technology World series, achieved record-breaking numbers by attracting 452 exhibitors occupying all 12,500 sq. meters of available exhibition space that represented products and services for 22 countries. It also marks the sixth year in a row that the show is able to captivate national group pavilions from China, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan; the largest show ever put together and still growing.

An exhibitor survey was carried out on-site during which exhibitors where asked for their opinion of the show. A compilation of the 97% respondents resulted in the following impressive numbers:

• 91% of the exhibitors agreed that the event is the best way to build and enhance image and industry presence, demonstrate new technologies, meet new client and generate sales needs
• 86% were satisfied with how their objectives were met
• 87% believed that the show brought a good return on their investments
• 96% were able to meet new business contacts
• 88% of the exhibitors are planning to be back in 2008
