Husky expands centres in Mexico and Brazil
Time:2008-08-22
Husky Injection Molding Systems is boosting its technical centres in Latin America as a result of sales success in the region.

The Canadian firm released a statement that said it had experienced in Latin America “a double digit increase in sales over the last year”.

The supplier of injection moulding machines, moulds and hot runner systems added that this was, “led with strong growth in sales of PET preform moulds and injection moulding systems”.

Husky has already expanded its services at its technical centre in Mexico. It has increased mould refurbishing and preform prototyping capabilities, and started machine training for customers in Spanish.

In Brazil, Husky will be increasing capacity at its technical centre for PET mould refurbishing and hot runner manufacturing. It will add a machining centre, as well as a facility for hot runner temperature controller assembly.

It said it is currently hiring additional service technicians in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina. The company added: “These new team members will further strengthen Husky’s industry-leading Latin American service and sales network.”

Customer events will cover PET in Mexico and Brazil and closures in just Mexico.
