Fortell adds bigger presses in new plant
Time:2008-08-15
Czech plastics component producer Fortell s.r.o. has added larger tonnage injection presses to its new 51,000-square-foot plant, which opened earlier this summer.

The Lanškroun-based moulder and mould maker aims to attract a greater share of the region’s growing automotive parts business.

“This building should help us to fulfill the long-term company aims such as sharing the increase of complex contracts for the automotive industry, expansion of the injection moulding department and a heavier weight limit for mould production,” the firm explained in a news release.

Fortell, which started plastics molding in 2003, operates five Battenfeld and Arburg presses at its Lanškroun facility. It serves customers in the electronics, consumer, and automotive sectors. In addition, it offers a metal stamping service and manufactures parts for model railways.

With the expansion, the company plans to add 15 more presses, said sales and marketing director Filip Ambroz. Work on the facility began in September.

Fortell exports to customers in Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Austria, France, Switzerland and Hungary.
